9:36 After ¹  the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. So ²  they kept silent and told no one ³  at that time ⁴  anything of what they had seen.

10:24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to see ⁵  what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

[9:36]  ³ sn Although the disciples told no one at the time, later they did recount this. The commentary on this scene is 2 Pet 1:17-18.

[10:24]  ⁵ sn This is what past prophets and kings had wanted very much to see, yet the fulfillment had come to the disciples. This remark is like 1 Pet 1:10-12 or Heb 1:1-2.
